MEET KATRINA OWENS

“Sunshine in human form.”

Can I let you in on a little secret?

I always wanted to be a CEO.

I loved the idea of being the visionary for an organization. Developing a supportive company culture, strategizing a successful launch, and evaluating ROI. But I realized pretty quickly that if I was going to wait for someone else to give me that title, I would be waiting a lot longer than I wanted to admit.

When I founded Knockout Directive, I realized I was able to define the CEO role for myself, which to me, meant cultivating wholehearted relationships with my clients. I am ambitious, yet kind, successful, yet empathetic, and strong, yet flexible. While not all of these qualities align with a more traditional idea of ‘CEO’, it’s exactly the type of leader I want to be.

My human-centric, heart-led approach to business ensures that my clients have the space to be open, honest and candid, which in turn, creates glowing and thriving brands.

HOW IT STARTED

“I never dreamed of being an entrepreneur.”

You know, the way many entrepreneurs often dream. But I dreamt of a life that allowed me the flexibility to live life on my own terms, while still having a positive impact on my community and those around me. I was working at a "dream job" when it became clear that my values were drastically misaligned with the people around me. It was then I decided that alignment would be the most important thing to me moving forward.

Now, after 10 years of working in corporate marketing and public relations, I get to work with business owners that speak my language, which is honestly mostly laughter. If that sounds like a match for you, I think we should talk. It would be an honour to support you in your business, as you support me in mine.
